Making Money On-Line

I’ve thought of making money on-line with my writing for a long time and to this point I have had varying degrees of minimal success! I came across the Thirty Day Challenge, a program that helps people make money by showing them various ways to do so, walking you through step by step to make some money. It comes highly recommended. I’m anxious to see how it goes.

The Economist on Publishing

The Economist has an article on the future of the book publishing business. Fewer people are reading is the first problem and the second problem is the rise of ebooks, which undermines the book publishing business. Their conclusion:

Publishing has only two indispensable participants: authors and readers. As with music, any technology that brings these two groups closer makes the whole industry more efficient—but hurts those who benefit from the distance between them.

An author in Indonesia dumped over $10,000 out of an airplane over Serang, a city of impoverished people to promote his new book on marketing.

This no doubt has gotten him lots of attention, as even I have heard about it, but I wonder how many poor people in Serang are buying his book on marketing?

He publicized his first book he road a horse through the streets of Jakarta dressed as a famous Indonesian war hero. The guy’s got some drive.
